Abstract:
As education is used to catch the citizens young, computers too should be introduced early in the life of the young minds in Nigeria. The future for her lies in the marriage of education and technology, This work discussed the importance of education and introduction of the use of computers to primary school pupils at the on-set of their step on the rungs of educational ladder. The implications for those concerned with the implementation of this at different stages and processes are also discussed. Thus, the Federal Government of Nigeria as the custodian of education in the country must actively rise up to what to do and more importantly how to do it All that is needed is just to ensure that Nigerian children begin to be taught an adequate understanding of the technologies that lie at the very heart or centre of information society not necessarily a full technological knowledge for everyone. But an understanding of the fundamental principles on which information technological devices actually work will be of necessity.
